We are pleased to share that a new research project titled “An Insole Sensor + Multifunctional Web/Mobile App Combination for Improving Limb Loss Rehabilitation Continuum Program Navigation, Prosthetic Prescription, Gait Training, and Community Function” has been awarded funding through the 2025 Center for Medical Innovation (CMI) Pathways Proof of Concept Funding Program at Penn State College of Medicine.
The project is led by Dr. Prateek Grover and includes Dr. Sayed Mohsin Reza as a Co-Investigator, along with a multidisciplinary team of collaborators. The total award of $45,012 will support research efforts from June 30, 2025 to June 30, 2026, with a focus on enhancing rehabilitation through sensor-based monitoring and intelligent software tools.

The funded research will combine wearable technology with an integrated digital platform to assist in prosthetic prescription, gait analysis, and rehabilitation tracking, helping bridge the gap between clinical care and community mobility for individuals with limb loss.
This award reflects the lab’s ongoing commitment to innovation at the intersection of health technology, data science, and user-centered system design. Congratulations to the entire team on securing this impactful grant!
