We are thrilled to announce that two members of the Data Driven Decision Making (D3M) Lab, Sapan Shah and Harsh Desai, earned recognition at the Central Pennsylvania Engineers Week Council 2026 Undergraduate Research and Capstone Awards.
At last evening’s prestigious Engineers Week Banquet, the following students were honored for their outstanding research contributions:
Grand Recipient: Sapan Shah
Research: Defect Detection in Additive Manufacturing
Sapan’s work leverages cutting-edge computer vision and machine learning techniques to enhance reliability and quality assurance in additive manufacturing systems.
Honoree: Harsh Desai
Research: Energy Price Prediction: Cross-Continental Quantum AI Forecasting for Electricity Markets
Harsh’s project integrates quantum-inspired AI methods with large-scale energy datasets to improve accuracy in global electricity-price forecasting.
