Dear Students,
If you are interested in gaining hands‑on research experience, exploring potential research careers, or preparing for graduate school, the National Science Foundation (NSF) offers excellent paid opportunities through its Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program.
What Is an NSF REU?
The NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program supports active research participation by undergraduate students in scientific and engineering fields funded by NSF. Students join research teams at universities, labs, and research centers across the U.S. and occasionally abroad. [nsf.gov]
Each REU Site typically hosts a cohort of 6–10 students, who work closely with faculty mentors on meaningful, project‑based research. [undergradr…h.ucsc.edu]
